Systems of Care for CYSHCN TA Webinar - Nov. 16, 2022

Children and youth with special health care needs and their families constitute a population with specific and often long-term health, educational, developmental and social service needs which can be extensive and expensive to deliver. The purpose of this webinar is to examine programs and practices (the systems) which have evolved to meet the needs of these children and families.

Presenter:

Kathryn Smith, DrPH, RN – Dr. Smith is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Pediatrics at the Keck School of Medicine of USC at Children's Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA), and Associate Director of Administration of the USC University Center of Excellence in Developmental Disabilities (UCEDD). She is also co-director of the Spina Bifida Center, senior Autism Treatment Network site coordinator, nurse care manager in the Boone Fetter autism clinic, and policy concentration leader within the Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities (LEND) training program at the USC UCEDD. She has a strong interest in child health policy, quality improvement and research in these areas.
