Mental Health First Aid, Grief, Trauma and Resilience TA Webinar - March 15, 2023

This TA webinar features S. Brooke Briggance from the Public Health Institute. Brooke is the Program Director for the Cypress Resilience Project and the Deputy Director for the FACES for the Future Coalition – both programs at Public Health Institute in Oakland, CA. She is a Certified Grief Recovery Specialist, a Certified Mental Health First Aid Instructor (Adult, Youth and teen), and a Certified Trainer in Trauma Informed Systems and Practice. Topics for the webinar include:

  • Learning about Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) certification and how it can benefit participants on an individual and systemic level including work focused on Maternal / Child Health
  • How grief plays a role in working in community and how to do we support those grieving life events
  • Trauma is present in the communities we serve, in the workforce and in the systems we work within. Learn more about trauma informed practices and what that means in relationship to both outward and inward facing practices
