Title V MCH Priorities Webinar Series - Next Topic: Health Weight and Pregnancy

A third webinar in a series of trainings related to Title V MCH priorities is being planned for January on healthy weight and pregnancy. When the date is set, a training alert will be sent out.

The format of the webinar series combines program planning, a discussion of evidence-based interventions to address the problem, and a review of available resources. The series started with a Breastfeeding webinar, followed by a webinar addressing Preconception Health.

Archived recordings, presentation handouts, and other resources are available from the FHOP training page and through these links:

FHOP Data Update

FHOP continues to work with CDPH on new procedures related to small numbers and race ethnicity coding. Once the procedures are approved by the State, FHOP will analyze the birth data and hospital discharge data, update county indicator data books, and prepare county level hospital discharge data files. An announcement will be sent out when these data are published on the FHOP website.

FHOP has been working with the State MCAH Program to review current indicators and proposed new indicators for the next five-year Title V Needs Assessment. A draft list of indicators was shared via SurveyMonkey with county MCAH Directors for comments and rating of usefulness.  The survey is available here: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/MKVW8JW
